
Religious leader Sun Myung Moon, who founded the Unification Church, passed away on September 3, 2012 in Seoul, South Korea. His syncretic religion was often classified as a cult by non-members, and was best known for huge mass weddings featuring tens of thousands of couples.
Reverend Moon was 92 years old. He is survived by ten of his sixteen children.
